Viewing in 3D
This site uses Masuji SUTO's versatile StereoPhoto Viewer Applet to display
stereo photos. This software allows the user to choose from a number of
different viewing methods. An easy and inexpensive way to view stereo images is
to obtain a Lorgnette viewer, available from
Berezin Stereo and
others. To use this or similar viewers, you should choose "Parallel-eyed"
viewing in the StereoPhoto Viewer Applet.
To view the photos without a viewer (this is called "free viewing"), most people
find the cross-eyed viewing method the easiest to learn. A good tutorial on
this method is available
here.
Choose "Cross-eyed" in the StereoPhoto Viewer Applet, then follow the
instructions in the Free-Vision Fusion (Cross-eyed method) section.
You can also view the images using the red and blue glasses distributed with
many 3D magazines and books. Choose "Red/Blue" or "Red/Cyan" in StereoPhoto
Viewer. The correct choice depends on the glasses - if you're not sure, try
them both and use the one that looks best to you.
Use the right and left arrow buttons next to the image name to move to the
next or previous image. Use the "SS" button to start or stop a slide
show.
